Appliying knowledge from Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi on Happiness

It is essential as acting students to pay attention to well-being, creativity, and productivity. That is the reason why I find it extremely effective to understand the theory of Flow created by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi. He is considered one of the co-founders of positive psychology and was the first to identify and research the theory of Flow. It seems like the happiest moment in a person's life happening in the pursuit of something difficult and worthwhile. This pursuit must be voluntary. Some people will define it as being in the zone, and what they describe is very similar to being in the Flow, which is when your skill level and the challenge at hand are equal. When you are in a Flow state, you are so involved in an activity that nothing else seems to matter, the experience is so enjoyable that people will do it even if it's risky.

Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi described eight characteristics of Flow

1. Complete concentration on the task.

2. Clarity of goals and rewards in mind and immediate feedback.

3. Transformation of time (speeding up/slowing down).

4. The experience is intrinsically rewarding.

5. Effortlessness and ease.

6. There is a balance between challenge and skills.

7. Actions and awareness are merged, losing self-conscious rumination.

8. There is a feeling of control over the task.

ELEMENTS OF WRITTEN ENGLISH ARE SEEN  l etters of the alphabet  words  sentences ELEMENTS OF SPOKEN ENGLISH ARE HEARD vowel, diphthong, and consonant sounds  syllables  phrases or rhythmic thought groups. The individual speech sounds of any language are defined by how the breath, whether voiced or voiceless, is used in making the sound. A voiced sound is produced with vibration of the vocal folds; a voiceless sound is produced without vibration. In Spoken English : A Vowel Sound • Is made with an open, uninterrupted flow of air, the breath flowing through the mouth only: an oral sound. French, by contrast, contains four vowel sounds made with the breath flowing through the mouth and the nose simultaneously: nasalized vowels. • Is a single sound, involvin...
